Terms and Conditions

These terms are the agreement between you and The Pramukh for the use of our mobile application and website ("the App"). Please read them before you create an account, open a community, or join one. By using The Pramukh, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the App.

1. What The Pramukh is

The Pramukh is a management tool for residential societies and apartments. It helps a community keep track of its members, maintenance, dues, income and expense records, notices, complaints, documents and communication - all in one place.

Important - how money works on The Pramukh: The App does not collect or transfer maintenance money. Residents pay their maintenance and dues outside the App (cash, UPI or bank transfer), and the App is used only to record and show the hisaab. The only payment made through the App is the subscription fee that a Pramukh pays to open a community.

2. Accounts

  • Your phone number is your identity on The Pramukh. One phone number is one user, and the same account can be added to more than one community.
  • You must give correct information and keep your login safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

3. Roles and responsibilities

The App works on roles. The main ones are:

  • Pramukh - the person who subscribes and creates a community. The Pramukh sets up the structure, adds residents, decides permissions, runs maintenance cycles, approves payments and manages the community.
  • Community Member - a person the Pramukh gives some of these powers to.
  • Resident (Owner / Tenant) - a member of the community who records their own payments, raises complaints, votes, chats and manages their own documents.

The Pramukh is responsible for the correctness of the data and decisions inside their community - including who is added, what amounts are set, and what entries are approved. The Pramukh must run the community lawfully and fairly.

4. Subscription and packages

  • Only a Pramukh pays a subscription to create a community. Residents join free.
  • Currently we offer a Basic plan in three sizes, based on the number of rooms (1-50, 51-250, and 251+). The 251+ variant is priced on request.
  • Prices, plan sizes and features may change. Any change will apply from your next renewal, not in the middle of a paid period.

5. Acceptable use

When using The Pramukh, you agree not to:

  • Upload anything unlawful, abusive, misleading or that you do not have the right to share.
  • Try to access another community's data or another person's account.
  • Break, overload or misuse the App, or attempt to get around security or storage limits.
  • Use the App to harass residents or to run a community dishonestly.

A Pramukh may delete messages and remove members within their own community as part of normal management.

6. Your content

The documents, photos, messages and records you add remain yours. By adding them, you allow The Pramukh to store and show them within the App as needed to provide the service. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to upload what you upload.

7. Money records and disputes

The App only records what is entered and approved by the community. We do not verify whether cash actually changed hands offline. Any dispute about maintenance, dues or expenses is a matter between the residents and their community, to be settled within the society. The Pramukh keeps an audit trail to help with such matters, but The Pramukh (the platform) is not a party to those disputes.

8. Availability

We work to keep the App running smoothly, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. We may carry out maintenance, updates or changes to features. Our commitment on uptime and support is described in our Service Level Agreement.

9. Limitation of liability

The Pramukh is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from offline payments, wrong entries made by community members, disputes inside a community, or loss of data caused by events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability, if any, is limited to the subscription amount paid for the current period.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account or community that breaks these terms, misuses the App, or does not pay its subscription. You may stop using the App at any time and request account deletion.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the courts of Gujarat, India.
